Royal Star Fish Report

4-4-2006
Royal Star

We are putting the finishing touches on Royal Star in preparation for Friday?s departure on our first eight day of the new season. The news of albacore sightings passed on by Royal Polaris is very encouraging for both our upcoming eight day voyage as well as our series of one and one half day trips we have officially scheduled for the first part of June. If these trips are of interest to you give Tracy a call in the office as she is ready to start booking spots. On another note I want to mention that we have a ton of space on our twelve day fly down/fly back voyage from Cabo San Lucas departing on April 22nd and returning on May 4th. Unfortunately we lost several anglers during the past couple of weeks putting the grand total number of anglers at twelve on the trip. We will be running this voyage so if you want the pleasure of fishing Royal Star for giant yellowfin and wahoo with minimal number of anglers this is likely the best opportunity one will ever have. Once again give Tracy a call if you are interested. Needless to say we are ready to get back on the water and begin fishing so look for our daily updates to begin this weekend.

I am sending along a couple more photos from our Revillagigedo tagging trip cherishing the memories of a lifetime.

The day and a half trip dates are as follows

Wednesday, May 31st - Friday, June 2nd $350.00

Friday, June 2nd - Sunday, June 4th $375.00

Sunday, June 4th ? Tuesday, June 6th $350.00

Thursday, June 8th ? Saturday, June 10th $350.00

Prices include all meals and are based on a fuel price of $2.75 per gallon.
Mexican fishing permits not included (approximately fifteen dollars).
Beverages not included ($1.00 dollar per)
Loaner rod and reel sets available at no charge.

All trips will be operated as mini long range voyages as an introduction to long range style amenities, service and fishing.

Here are a few more photos without an accompanying, long winded report. The only two things I want to emphasize is that we still have space on both our upcoming Alijos rocks eight day as well as our fly/down fly/back trip to Hurricane Bank and beyond departing from and returning to Cabo San Lucas before ultimately returning to San Diego. Both voyages promise to be ultra limited loads so if you have the time to squeeze a trip in, now...... Read More

We?re having a productive maintenance period giving attention to the numerous mechanical necessities that arise during the normal course of operation as well as tending to a few cosmetic details that were begging for attention. Most noticeable to anglers will be the below deck showers that underwent a complete renovation with new surfacing, doors, and fixtures that give not only the showers, but the entire heads a refreshing, clean look. Most of our other projects are mechanical with the biggest...... Read More
