Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

I am posting a few more photos today from Royal Star angler Toke Aw, who was kind enough to burn a disc for us with all the trip photos he took. I want to extend my most sincere gratitude to Toke for both shooting the photos and allowing us to share them as a fantastic representation of our tagging voyage. Soon I will have a wealth of other photos from Senior IATTC scientist Kurt Schaefer that I will try to post several of every day along with updates on Royal Star and any fishing information we come across. On that note I want all prospective anglers to know that our annual ?spring break? eight day departing Friday April, 7, returning Saturday April 15th does have space available. With the signs of bluefin encountered by boats traveling south last trip and indications of yellowtail around Alijos Rocks, this bargain rate voyage promises to be a fine departure from the everyday routine. In addition, our late April Hurricane Bank twelve day fly/down fly/back still has about four openings for any of you interested. Enjoy the photos and look forward to many more incredible shots to come.

Well I have to begin this report by expressing my huge disappointment over the fact that we were unable to transmit daily reports due to insurmountable difficulties with our satellite service in the lower latitudes. As you all know by now, I enjoy telling a story - relating the details of our time on the water as well as sharing some relevant opinions. In this case I felt the daily reports were especially critical as the concept of this voyage...... Read More
