Royal Star

Following our final ripper evening bite two days ago, we were limited by fish hold space to keeping two or three more trophy yellowfin and a couple of handful's of wahoo before calling it a trip and heading home. By another remarkable stroke of good fortune, we caught exactly that finishing up mid afternoon with a couple more two hundred pounders and a couple of one eighties in addition to the exact number of wahoo our fresh tank could accommodate. By default it was also a stroke of good fortune for our good friend Captain Brian Sims and his group on the Q105 who were able to take advantage of our departure by moving into our very productive position. As a final compliment to our day, the weather, which had been giving us a slight challenge over the past four days, eased off to flat calm conditions about four hours after departing the shallows making for a heavenly ride up the line. Now we settle in for the next few days of travel enjoying the forecast of flat calm weather for the next seventy two hours. I do have a few more thoughts to entertain you with so look for our daily reports to continue.

There is one observation over the past few days that we would like to pass on that may be of help to those of you on...... Read More
