Fish Report for 1-9-2005
Not much to report other than glorious traveling weather and the genuine appreciation everyone now has for this often taken for granted condition. We spent our day in leisure preparing our tackle, making leaders, and socializing outside in the warm, welcoming sun. We did take a short afternoon break hoping for a little action at one of the most famous long range haunts before moving on. As it turned out, we never stopped the boat following a complete tour that showed no sign of decent fish, cold water, and poor conditions. Onward and upward as the saying goes and with our sights set on big fish glory we weren't all that put out by the lack of fish in today's destination. We continue traveling down with another day and a half to go before we get in the game.

1-8-2005Very fortunately, departures like yesterday come along once in a blue moon. With an ominous forecast of forty knot south east winds and eight to twelve seas, we departed with a beautiful load of bait free of any illusions that we were bound to have an easy time of it.
