Fish Report for 5-4-2004
Just what we were hoping for, a nice bite on 30-60lb bluefin mixed with a few 30-35lb albacore. It was never red hot but a nice steady pick, which combined with grease calm weather made for a great day. We are going to drift in this area tonight and hope for another shot at them tomorrow.

5-3-2004Tough scratching here at Alijos today for 31 yellows and 10 tuna, one of which was pushing the 100lb mark. There is nothing to explain the slow fishing as the weather is beautiful and conditions are great, just a down day which I'm sure all of you have experienced at some point. A nice start to the trip here today at Alijos with steady scratching on quality yellows and enough tuna to keep it interesting. With the exception of one around 90lbs, most of the tuna were 30-50lbers with the yellows averaging 18-30lbs. With beautiful weather and plenty of time, we're going to stick it out here at the rocks and hope this tuna bite develops as we put together a catch on this nice grade yellow....... Read More
