Aug. 29 Trip To San Miguel Island/Abalone Survey

What: A collaborative survey of the abalone resource at San Miguel Island. Survey results will provide data for the California Fish and Game Commission and the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) to consider reopening the island to limited harvest. DFG or CAA will provide boat transportation to and from the project site. Trip is up to four hours one way. Plan on at least a 12 hour day, or longer.

When: Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 5:30 a.m. Must RSVP with Patrick Foy by Thursday, Aug. 24, at noon. ?ĮPlus later meeting in late afternoon/early evening
