HUNTINGTON NORTH RESERVOIR: At last report, the ice was said to be five inches thick and softening. Depending on the day, there is a gap of open water from shore to the ice pack. Warm spring-like temperatures this week may have thinned or softened the ice. Anglers report slow fishing.
HUNTINGTON RESERVOIR: On Jan. 12, Tony Wright reported eight inches of snow over a foot of slush. Under the slush was another six inches of ice. In 3.5 hours of fishing, he didn't get a bite.
