Fishing is still hot for 8- to 10-inch rainbow trout. Try using smaller lures tipped with a spike, wax worm or mealworm. The bites are very soft. It's best to use a super light pole or a spring bobber on the tip of your pole. The trout are mostly biting near the bottom but can be caught throughout the water column. Anglers are also catching brood stock trout. Tyler Stevens of Farmington caught a 17-inch brood stock on an orange and silver Kastmaster. Nice catch, Tyler!
