Hello everyone;

Well all good things must come to an end, and that's what happened to our weather. We had 12 to 15 knots most of the day, but by night fall it was 18 to 20 knots. So traveling up hill was not a pleasant ride. But it can't last forever.

Our Fishing started offshore looking for kelps, but with 80 plus degrees water temperature, most of the kelp has burned up. So with that in mind, and not finding anything, we made our move to the Ridge. We started at Thetis bank and made our way up to the 23 fathom bank. Our first stop we caught one Yellowtail, and lost a very large Grouper. Then on to the 38 fathom spot, were we caught a handful of nice size Yellowtail (18 to 25 pounds). But that was short and sweet, so we move on. The next stop was the 23 fathom spot, were we caught a couple of Wahoo, and that was our day.

So it was time to make a decision on what to do tomorrow. Moving north our next stop will be for Yellowtail up the line, then may be Cedros Island the next day, so wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.

Well, now I've seen everything. After a slow morning, we departed the area and started back to Alijos rocks. About 100 miles from the rocks, it pops up. Eddie with his eagle eyes found it. It was a large white object. As we came closer to it, the water turned to gold. It was a freezer and it was loaded with Dorado. We did battle with the beauties of the sea for about 30 minutes, then they just stop biting,...... Read More
