The East Walker is down a bit (55cfs) but is still producing some great fishing. Mostly nymphing with small midge patterns but??there's??also some good??streamer action to be had.??For midges, and nymphs??we've had good reports on small copper johns, zebra midges, GT emergers, flashback emergers, wd40's, san juan worms, and for streamers it's??been hornbergs, zuddlers, double bunnies and moal leeches. The Sceirine and Rosachi sections are also fishing very well,??and with less pressure. Most of the fish seem to be ranging from about 12 to 16 inches with a few reports almost??every day of some in the 20 to 22 inch class.??
The Hunewill Pond is coming alive pretty well these days, the last??pair of anglers we had on the pond caught about 15 fish each up to about 22 inches. They used some small seal buggers and stillwater nymphs for a few fish, but most were caught on the surface with parachute adams. The had great action, and had the whole pond to themselves!!
The Twins have really come??un-glued as of late. Lots of lure action both from the shore and from??boats. We've seen fish up to about 6 pounds in the last week.??As the temps drop the fishing should just get better.??The fly fishermen have also been doing??really well with olive colored??buggers and??Twin Lakes Specials, as well as seal buggers and matukas.
The Virginias are also doing??well, pretty??much the same techniques as the Twins, lots of fish being caught and most anglers are reporting having a great time.??
It's not too crowded this time of the year, so get on up here and give er a go before everything freezes up!!
Don't forget, the Fly??Fishing Tournament is right around the corner, we'll probably have near $10,000 worth of prizes and goodies to give away for this great event!!
