Collins Lake Staff
Jerry Freeman from Live Oak fishes Collins Lake on a regular basis. He usually fishes for Catfish only and stays out most of the night for his best chance at Cats. This week staying true to form he brought in a 9 pound Cat and as a Bonus, he also got a 5-1/4 lb. Bass. Jerry fished near Elmer's Cove using live crawdads. Mike Angeles of Sacramento took his camoflauge boat out for a spin and came upon and hooked a 1-1/4 lb. Crappie. He caught his prize Crappie near the dam using worms.
Gary Bright along with Joshua & Tony trekked towards the dam in their boat and successfully netted a 7-1/4 lb. Catfish. They used a combination of Powerbait & worms to entice this big bad Cat.
Probhat Palma and our guest from New Zealand (Lester) scored a nice Catfish near the dam using livers. These two are the most die-hard fishermen I have ever met. I'm sure they aren't done yet!!
