Chico Lots of fish rolling early this morning. We saw one caught on a plug at first light. Only one other boat in the hole. We fished plugs until about 0830 with no take downs then switched to roe. Caught our first one about 30 minutes later, 21 lb hen. Then we got a sturgon a few minutes later. We got the big dog drifting roe about 11am. 35lb buck on 12 lb line with a light spinning rod, what a blast. We were in a hole by ourselves. The best part about the slow year is it is weeding out everyone but the diehards like me and a few others. Now go whack em. chinook
