The Hunt for Exotics Aboard the Aloha Spirit

I hopped on board Shawn Steward's Aloha Spirit out of Captain Hook's Sportfishing for a day of fun fishing Calicos down County Line along the Coast. We ran up on some great White Seabass marks and immediately hooked up. One broke off due to an angler's drag not being set correctly, another was lost to the kelp beds, and the other was tugged on board and landed with the help of Shawn and Eddie. We had great pickings at the Calico Bass, the water temp was approximately 64.5 degrees but that didn't stop the fish from biting! We even landed a couple flatties! It was another great day aboard the Aloha Spirit!

In this report, I've also added some pictures taken by Shawn Steward from the month of August as he hammered some nice exotics on some of the recent charters. Give the Aloha Spirit a try and make sure you tell them SFR sent you! Shawn and his Crew are lots of fun to fish with!
