Pesky yellowtail interrupt a lingcod bite on the "B". Captain Mike on the Erna B went to one of his best lingcod spots this afternoon with a small charter group. While catching lingcod in about 200ft of water a few lucky anglers hooked up to a group of yellowtail in the deep water. Captain Mike said these were about 30lb yellows out in the middle of no where, a pleasant surprise. After boating the yellows, they continued to catch lings from 10 to 20 pounds. Normally jackpot winners themselves, but a 32lb yellowtail took jackpot on this day.
Today's Fish Count: 6 boats and 122 anglers
991 Rockfish, 5 Whitefish, 1 Rock Sole, 163 Lingcod, 6 Sheephead, 1 Mako Shark and 5 Yellowtail.

Overall fishing has been great with bonus catches like this. Overnight trips are hammering the rockfish and lingcod while the local boats are catching there fare share of rock themselves while still keeping the big game dream alive in December.
We have a bunch of boats going out in the morning and all through the week. Give us a call if you can make it. The season is quickly coming to a close!
