Cisco's count & report for Sunday 11-16-14

Channel Islands Sportfishing

East Winds a.k.a. "Santa Ana's" pushed our fleet north of the harbor to find the calm water. Once there the weather was fine and fishing was rather good. Most of the boats fished in fairly shallow waters, in the 150 to 200 foot range to find the better quality. Mostly reds but some other rockfish mixed in as usual. Lingcod fishing was excellent for the overnight fleet that took advantage of the conditions to go long and fish San Miguel and San Nicolas islands. The angler counts on each boat down from past weekend loads, so lots of rale space.

Today's Fish Count: 10 boats and 185 anglers
228 Lingcod, 1723 Rockfish, 10 Sheephead, 36 Whitefish, 1 Rock Sole, 4 Bonito, 1 Sand Bass and 45 Calico Bass.
