Excel Headed South on 10 Day Trip

Capt Justin called in from the Excel to let us know they just departed on their 10 day Brad Merritt Trip, lots of familar faces on this trip. We plan on stopping and trying to tag a few Yellowtail and then proceed south after that. We are all doing well and should start fishing a little later this afternoon.

Hello anglers, Today we fished offshore. The wind never did give us a brake with 15-18 knots of wind the whole day. We did manage to find several kelps and ended up with a handful of nice dorado. Hello anglers, Today we fished for yellowtail. The morning started off a little slow but once we found the school it was game on! We were able to keep 5-10 fish going for several hours. The blue and white Salas 6x seemed to be the hot ticket. There was also a token white sea bass and a halibut in the mix. We will be working our way up the line tonight and be offshore tomorrow.
