Cisco's Report - Yellow's on the Iron!
10-28-2014
Channel Islands Sportfishing
The yellowtail bite continues here at Cisco's! Most of these fish are being caught on either yoyo or surface iron with only a hand full being taken on the bait. Our morning boats have been pummeling the yellows for a while now and today was no exception. Again, heading up the bite was the captain Shawn on the Aloha Spirit. They ended the day with 33 yellows and some other mixed fish for just 18 anglers. Captain Donny on the Sea Jay played catch and release all day with his group of 7 on a private charter. Captain Don Rowell and his Gentleman took out 44 anglers on his two for one Tuesday special.. catching a good assortment of bottom fish like lingcod, whitefish, rockfish and more.
Today's Fish Count: 3 boats and 69 anglers.
37 Yellowtail, 4 Calico Bass, 274 Rockfish, 20 Halfmoon, 13 Lingcod, 20 Whitefish, 7 Sculpin, 7 Sheephead and 140 Bonito (Released)
