We only had one boat out today because of yesterday's marine forecast and wind model. Captain Don Rowell on the Gentleman went against the odds and gave it a shot this morning with a full load of passengers. Much to his delight the weather was not bad in the morning and just got better through out the day. By lunch time he and his anglers were sitting on the backside of Santa Cruz Island as the ocean slicked out. Dropping down they started pulling up some quality rockfish, mostly reds said Capt Don. They ended the day with about 6 fish per angler and everyone got to enjoy much better than expected conditions!

350 Rockfish, 1 Sheephead, 4 Lingcod and 2 Sculpin.

Monday we have a great forecast and several boats going out in the morning! Starting at 5am we have the Aloha Spirit going out for a full day trip. Then at 6am the Gentleman will be running again, and at 7am we have the Erna B doing a 3/4 day trip. All of the boats will most likely be taking a stab at the yellows along the coast before either shooting across to the island or running south to fish calico's and rockfish. The loads are lite on all the boats, so let's go fishing!!!
