Channel Islands Sportfishing
The yellowtail bite was a bit tougher today but still descent. What was caught was defiantly quality.. yellows are still averaging 25lbs with some stand outs over 30lbs. After fishing for the yellowtail some boats went bottom fishing and some fished calico bass. Everyone enjoyed excellent weather and brought back either a good story to tell and or a big bag of fillets.
Today's Fish Count: 6 boats and 103 anglers.
26 Yellowtail, 44 Calico Bass, 5 Sheephead, 1 Sculpin, 488 Rockfish, 2 Perch, 15 Whitefish, 11 Lingcod and 5 Sand Bass.
For Thursday, all of the boats are sitting on minimal loads, so there will be lots of elbow room. We have boats leaving at 4am, 5am, 7am and 8am so give us a call if you can go. It's an great time to get up and get outside.. let's go fishing!!!
