They say that you never know what you can handle until you are faced with adversity. Well that's exactly what happened to our fishing village here in Cabo San Lucas. Somehow this whole event has made us stronger as a community!


Two weeks later the official word is "All Systems Go" as Team Picante ramps up for the Tournament Season we are back to fishing. We're currently contacting every hotel now to get a list of which ones are open, or when they will open, and we will blast this out as soon as it is compiled. At present, there are more than 2,000 rooms in Los Cabos open for business.


Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto was in Cabo yesterday. He will be toured the IGY Marina and made the announcement that the San Jose International Airport will be open for commercial service by October 8th which is when the Gupo Aeropuerto del Pacifico says it will be open. The official statement was followed by "in actuality it will be sooner." Remember that the La Paz airport (LAP) is operating normally.


Each day Cabo San Lucas is returning to normal. The stores/shops/restaurants are open for business or nearly ready. The banks and ATMs are back in operation as well. One of the best ways we can help is with the economic boost that comes with tourism and sport-fishing.
