Just to let everyone know that we were unable to drive down to La Paz at this time due to the shortage of fuel and some road closures, however we have some good news to share with you. While there was a good deal of damage done to the La Paz area the citizen have banded together and are actively cleaning up the area. They are not waiting for the government to do the work. Power has been restored to about 85% of the area and improvements are occurring daily.

As I reported before we lost the are dock but were able to reconnect most of it and now have three of our boats back in the water. The photo below shows what it looked like before we began repairs. We hope to have all of it back in place shortly.

The damage in town has been extensive with many buildings collapsed and or with fallen portions. A lot of windows have been blown out, power lines down and trees toppled, but again we are happy to report that cleanup and repair is going strong.
