The Gallatin is still chugging along. Baetis fishing has been good for our clients from 12-4pm. Catching a nice Gallatin brown on a size 20 dryfly is something any angler can enjoy. During the morning and evening hours you will have luck with streamers and nymphs. When it gets hot out chuck some terrestrials around. Beetles, hoppers and ants will all be good options. If you're fishing the park section get drifts along the banks. Brown trout will often startle you when they sneak out to grab the meal.

The Madison below Quake Lake has been a solid fishing option ever since it cooled off a few weeks back. If the skies are cloudy you will find fish rising to Baetis. A different mayfly has been spotted down there by Patrick and Tomcat. It was a size 16 with a green body. The case is still open so let us know if you have any leads.
