According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the sailfish bite was best at about 6 miles out front of the Bay and was mixed with a few blue marlin, too. It was not the bonanza fishing of the past week but still good enough to make for a successful fishing day that provided several opportunities for a billfish and was keeping most of the anglers happy. The inshore fishing was good for the roosterfish but they were on the move and in different locations almost everyday. Overall, Temo said the fishing activity was on the slower side but expected improvement with the excellent sea conditions, especially the water temperatures and calmer seas.
IZ Climate: It has been a mostly cloudy week with rain on Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday, (typical summer rain conditions) but no wind or rough seas conditions for the area.
Sea Conditions: Near perfect! Water temps stable at 89-90
