There's a slight green tinge to the water color that extends from the shoreline to about 10 miles, (plus-minues) that extends from the Golden Gate Bank around to Las Frailes. The Jaime Bank and out to the 1000 fathom curve, the water clarity is much better and the billfish bite is equally better. The "Fish Cabo", skippered by Captain Gil Marquez, fished the area 10-12 miles south of Cabo Falso that allowed him to wind up with the high billfish count for the week and reflecting 8 releases, 1 wahoo & 10 dorado for 3 days fished. The overall fish counts for a total of 21 days fished reflected 19 stripers, 17 released, 1 sailfish released, 1 roosterfish, 1 wahoo, 18 dorado and 5 skipjack tuna

Cabo Climate: Mostly sunny and warm days and picture perfect evenings with temperatures that varied from 91 daytime highs to 76 night time lows.

Sea Conditions: A tropical depressions hung around offshore, (70-90 miles) through the early week only to dissipate on Wednesday and held winds that were steady at about 30 mph. After moving off to the northwest and evaporating from the atmosphere, the area returned to good sea conditions that ranged from calm surface breezes to about 13 mph and was mostly flowing in from the southerly directions. The Pacific side is currently reflecting sea temps at the Golden Gate Bank at 80 degrees, warming to 83 at the Jaime Bank, then wrapping Cabo San Lucas and northerly to Las Frailes with sea temps all at 83-84 degrees.

Best Fishing: 10-12 miles south of Cabo Falso, on the Pacific side.

Best Lure/Bait: The billfish were caught on live bait, rigged ballyhoo and a few on the artificials, too.

Bait Supply: Live bait supply continues to be readily available and we recommend 10 live bait per fishing day. Live bait from Cabo is $3.00 per bait and paid direct to the bait vendor at time of receipt.
