The fishing at Lake Jennings was either good or slow depending on the weather

Hello from your Lake Jennings!
This past weekend the weather was not in sync with the fishing. Friday was very windy, Saturday must have had some high pressures, and Sunday was another cold day. The excitement of good fishing did draw in anglers and those dedicated walkers made their stroll around the lake, but the temperatures did slow everything down a bit. If you would like to stay up to date on what goes on at Lake Jennings you can sign up at LakeJennings.org for the Weekly Fish Report or select the Blog tab to read about events.

Buoyline by the Tower:
Jake Alirez of Lemon Grove, 7 pound Blue Catfish using Mackerel.
Cloister Cove:
John Visser of Lemone Grove caught a 1 pound 10 ounce Crappie using a Kastmaster.

Prognosis:
Lake Jennings will stock another 1,000 pounds of Sierra Bow Trout, and we will continue to increase the trout size. With the colder temperatures the trout are now moving out from the shorelines and starting to take on deeper water. Anglers trolling around the lake did have some success this past weekend and it is expected to only get better. The same goes for fishing from boat and shore but the "Target Fishing" may slow down. NEW at Lake Jennings are the larger trout and later in the season will come "Lightning Trout" which will be our tagged fish.

Water Temperature: 61 degrees

Note New Hours:
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY
OPEN AT 5:45 AM
CLOSE AT 5:15 PM
