Hello from your Lake Jennings! The water level continues to rise and cool down, so the Trout have started to move around. Hermit's Cove continues to be the better place to fish. No reports of Bass or Catfish this week. Stay up to date by registering online for the Weekly Fish Report at LakeJennings.org and know when the "Lightning Trout" will arrive.

Best Catfish Spots: Deeper waters and the buoyline at the tower
Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel, Chicken Liver, or Dough Bait
Best Bass Spots: Points in 25' to 30' of water along the weed line.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Swimbaits, small Crawdads and drop shot Morning Dawn worms.
Best Wiper Spots: On the move in schools Best Wiper Lures/Bait: Live Shiners, Chicken Liver and frozen Anchovies
Best Trout Spots: Hermit's Cove and Cactus Patch
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Kastmasters, PowerBait, PowerWorms and Mini Jigs

Notables: Jim McPherson of La Mesa caught a nice 5 pound Sierra Bow Trout while trolling a Rapala throughout Half Moon Cove
J. Vang caught two Sierra Bows with a total weight of 10 ?? pounds using a Mini Jig back in Eagle Cove
Tony Sihgbouth of San Diego caught three Sierra Bows weighing in at 7.5, 5.5 and 3.5 pounds using Orange PowerBait back in Hermit's Cove
Don Nguyen of San Diego caught a 7 ?? pound Sierra Bow Trout using Orange PowerBait in Hermit's Cove.

Prognosis: Lake Jennings will stock another 1,000 pounds of Sierra Bow Trout and we will continue to plant trout up to 8 pounds. Lake Jennings will be OPEN on Thanksgiving Day. "NEW", Lake Jennings will stock Sierra Bow Trout up to 12 pounds throughout the season. Right now we are putting in 6-8 pounders until the water gets a bit cooler and then come the 10-12 pounders.

Water Temperature: 67 degrees and dropping

Note New Hours: (THANKSGIVING DAY) THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY
OPEN AT 5:45 AM
CLOSE AT 5:15 PM

NOTE: The Campground Entrance Station will be open on Thanksgiving Day
from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Firewood, Ice and Fishing Permits will be available at the Bait and Tackle Shop Shore fishing below campground is available by purchasing permits at the campground Monday thru Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Fishing University Time: 10 AM EVERY Saturday at the Bait & Tackle Shop
