HESPERIA LAKE: Catfish in the four to six pound category were hitting on red worms, mackerel and shrimp. Most of the action was on the east bank and the finger. Trout were going for both power bait and night crawlers and were biting at the north shore and the finger area. Harry Greene from Hesperia had twin catfish with both of them in the 4 pound range using red worms off the finger. Michelle Cloutier from Chatsworth had a nice 4 pound catfish from the north shore. In addition to the normal pan size trout, Kelly O'neil from Pomona, added a nice 5 pound trout to his stringer using a night crawler from the finger area.. Ralph Olston from Victorville also had a nice trout at 4.5 pounds from the north shore using night crawlers.

1,000 pounds of trout will be stocked on 11-6-13 and 2,000 pounds of Nebraska Tailwalkers are coming in on the 15th of November. Weather is great with highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Wind is mild and every day is a great day for fishing at Hesperia Lake. The lake is still open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the day session and 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. for the night fishing. No state fishing license is required here.
