BASS
Anglers are catching many bass between 2-4 pounds. Plastics work best in the pink and shad colors. Shad like lures and night crawlers also work great for bass. Gabe Stroop of Nuevo caught a 3.5 pound bass using fluke.

STRIPER
Stripers picked up this week! There were many caught between 5-10 pounds. Cut bait and trolling with flies work best. When shad are breaking the surface, it's best to use a shad like lure for top water boils. Rob Shannon, Patrick Shannon and Tyler Shannon, pictured above of San Diego caught a 5.17 pound and 5.33 pound striper using a Mike's fly near the marina. Also, Jesse Mena of Hemet caught a nice 9.01 pound striper on a sebile lure!

CATFISH
Catfish were caught between 4-8 pounds this week! Mackerel, anchovies and chicken liver work great for catfish. Kalani Moniz (age 7), Photo #1 caught a 7.98 pound catfish while fishing with his dad Mike Moniz, and sister Marlee Moniz (age 10). He used a shad lure near the east dam. Great job!

PANFISH
Anglers are catching panfish a pound and under. Night crawlers and mealworms work best for panfish.

TROUT
No reports of trout caught this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.
