Bass and Panfish have been the best species at Lake Perris

The best Bass fishing has been by the docks or from a boat. The bait to use has been either plastics or nightcrawlers. The Bluegill & Redear bite has been good from a boat at the east end of the lake. Another good location for panfish fishing has been near the docks. The best bait for the panfish has been crickets, wax worms or nightcrawlers.

8-6-2013The Bluegill, Red Ear and Bass bites are all picking up at Lake Perris. These fish can be found in the water column at 15 to 30 ft. You'll find the Bass at the shallower ends of the points. Launch ramp cove and Sail cove are producing some nice sized fish. The main bite off the dock is Red Ear along with some Bluegill. Both are being caught with red worms and crickets. The Bass bite worked well at Lake Perris for those fishing on a drop shot rig. The fishing was the best is you were at 18' to 26' of water in the Canyon. The Bluegill bite is still on the slower side. They are being caught in about 15' to 18' of water. They have been hitting on mealworms or crickets. The Redear bite has been the best at the end of the Marina docks on small nightcrawlers....... Read More
