I just realized it was Friday the 13th during dinner. OOOOOOHHHHHH, I got it. That explains a lot. All in all, it was indeed one of my best days of fishing, EVER! Really? EVER! You see, this was just one of those perfect days, flat calm glassy seas, warm (actually hot at times) weather to the point of being able to take your shirt off at any given moment. I have no clue what Heaven's going to be like, but I'm kinda guessing I won't need a jacket, just like today. Couple that great weather off with co-operating bait biting very well before we jumped on the cruisers, to top off our already ample bait supply. And fishing with friends, as I got to be in the cruiser with two of my absolute best fishing friends: Jim Odlum and John Keeler! Now, about that Friday the 13th stuff here for Wahoodad. I realize this is mostly a catch and release trip, but I was doing a lot of long distance releases today. These Pargo, Snappers, and Jacks absolutely had their way with me today. I lost fish every way imaginable today, these fish are tough tackle busting son of guns. And with all that, I still could not get mad, or let that bother me. It was simply beautiful today, etched in my mind forever. Plus, the helmet cam Go-Pro recorded a bunch of it. John and Jim had their casualties as well, but nothing like I did. And then, the strangest thing happened. As we were inshore, fishing these Pargo spots, we saw a spot of tuna come up and splash around. So, being that they were less than a 1/4 mile from us, we went after them, and they bit! We fished for these tuna until we ran out of bait. But the nice thing is, our mothership, the Intrepid, wasn't far away. So, we went back, got more water and bait, and headed back out on this perfect day on the ocean. Off to bed, to rest up before another day of adventure here in Panama! "The Intrepid Team"
