We fished offshore this morning for just a few stops on yellowfin tuna. Although we didn't catch much today, we did manage to pick up a couple fish over 40 pounds and a few others around 30 pounds. We spent the afternoon breaking down gear and getting the boat all cleaned up. Our weather was good with just under 15 knots of breeze out of the northwest. I want to thank this entire group of anglers for being such a pleasure to fish with. Everyone worked well together on this trip and adapted to some ever changing fishing conditions. I also would like to thank Eric Kaai and Fisherman's Warehouse for sponsoring this trip. Eric was a great host, caught a bunch of fish, and helped out along the way. Eric would like me to post this message: "Thank you to all the anglers who joined us this year for the 7th annual Fisherman's Warehouse Long Range Open. Also thanks to Fisherman's Warehouse/ Eagle Claw Hooks/ Seaguar/ Williamson/ Okuma/ Shakespear/ and Blackbelt. You can check us out online at Fishermanswarehouse.com" The trip was topped off with a spectacular prime rib and lobster dinner prepared by Chefs Patrick and Kyle. As dinner was being served, the sun was setting to the west. Life is good on the Intrepid. Wish us luck on our next trip, Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team. ETA 0530 Tuesday morning....
