Shogun fish report 07-27-07

Bruce A. Smith
The dorado prediction came through. We found a great kelp early this morning, the yellows and a dozen dorado bit bait and jigs with a passion. What a way to begin the day. The Shogun crew continued to search for kelps and sign of fish throughout the day and several kelps were holding niced sized yellowtail. We released over 40 small yellows and ended up with a good score for the RSW fish hold. As we were looking we came across a bait ball being attacked with a fury. As the boat slid up to the action, the water was shimmering with thousands of scales from tiny greenbaclk mackerel. All in all a great day. Tomorrow we will arrive at the local albacore grounds to finish off the trip. Our fingers are crossed hoping for equal success with the long fins.
