Hello out there in web-land. I just can't believe this weather, but I can take this every day of the week. Flat seas, clear skies, and very warm days. Thanks for the great weather mother-nature.
Fishing on kelps continue to produce quality Dorado and Yellowtail. Yellowtail up to 25 pounds, Dorado up to 25 pounds, what more could you ask for. But what makes this so great, this is still July!! You are having this great fall time fishing, in July. Tonight we made a few drifts for some nice Red Rock-cod. I have fished Rock-cod for many years, and my luck at night has been, nonexistence. But the good eating fish, made a pretty good showing.
With one more day left to fish, Roy has not made a decision on what to do next. But he did mention on trying offshore again, trying our luck at some tuna. But it's hard to pass up on this excellent kelp fishing.
I forgot to thank a few people that make this trip so wonderful. We like to thank Taka Tanaka for all the work he puts forward to this trip ever year. We also like to thank Owner, Lead master, Cal-Star, Newell reels, Phil Lambert, Scott Farnham, and Blackwater Inc.
So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.
P.S. Corky Yokoe would like to wish his wife a happy anniversary. It's not his fault that it's late, Big D forgot to put it in, on the right date.
