Royal Polaris Fish report 07-27-07

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone, well let's talk. Weather today was just tremendous, fabulous, outstanding, I just can't put it into words. We had flat seas, clear skies, and not warm, but HOT!!! The water temperature was 72.40 degrees, and the air temperature had to be in the upper 80's.

The weather was not the only thing that was hot today, so was our day of fishing. We just had a great day of fishing. We caught Dorado, Yellowtail, Yellowfin tuna, and even a nice batch of Calico bass, that we will have for lunch tomorrow. The Calico bass fishing was so hot, that a larger Black Sea Bass was trying to get into the action also. This Black Sea Bass would swim up from the bottom and grab a bass and try and take it back down to the bottom for his lunch.

The Dorado fishing was just excellent, with limit style fishing. Most of the Dorado were in the 12 to 15 pound range, with a few going over 20 pounds. The Yellowtail were in the 15 to 22 pound category. The Yellowfin, well let's just call them baby-giants again.

We are now headed north and try our luck at kelp fishing again, and then think about fishing Albacore the last day of the trip. Everyone is having a great time, and they look froward to another great day of fishing tomorrow. So until then, wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events aboard the Royal Polaris.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
