BASS
Anglers are catching smaller bass this week, yet there were a few bigger bass between 5-7 pounds. Plastics work best in the pink, purple and green colors. Shad like lures also work great for bass. Matthew Phelps, pictured above of Hemet caught a couple of nice bass on a shad colored, 6 inch Spro. His bass weighed in at 5.07 pounds and 6.51 pounds.

STRIPER
Stripers slowed down this week. Anglers are catching stripers between 4-5 pounds. Sardines and trolling with flies work best. When shad are breaking the surface, it's best to use a shad like lure for top water boils.

CATFISH
Anglers are catching many catfish between 8-15 pounds! Mackerel, sardines and chicken liver are working best for catfish.

PANFISH
Anglers are catching many panfish 1 pound and under. Night crawlers, mealworms and crickets work best for panfish.

TROUT
No reports of trout caught this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.
