Anglers were catching bigger Bass this week at Diamond Valley Lake

Surface Water Temp: 78.2 degrees
Fish Plants: No more this season
Lake Hours: 5:30am - 6:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the low 60's to high 90's this week. Drink plenty of water and watch out for snakes!
Upcoming events Public night fishing September 6th ,7:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Striper King Classic September 28th weigh-in 2:30 pm. Call marina store for more details.
August Special Bike rentals: $10 an hour or $40 for 5 hours

BASS
Anglers are catching bigger bass this week between 5-10 pounds! Plastics work best in the pink, purple and brown colors. Night crawlers and Senko's in the green, brown, and pumpkin colors also work great for bass. Russel Nievar, pictured above of San Jacinto caught a 10.4 pound bass in a cove using a senko!
STRIPER
Stripers slowed down this week. Anglers are catching striper in small quantities between 4-5 pounds. Trolling with flies and using lures that replicate baby bass and shad work best for striper.
CATFISH
Anglers are catching catfish between 6-8 pounds! Mackerel, shrimp, chicken liver and night crawlers are working best for catfish.
PANFISH
Anglers are catching limits on panfish 1 pound and under. Night crawlers and mealworms work best for panfish
TROUT
No reports of trout caught this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.
