Royal Polaris falls just short of Bluefin limits
8-27-2013
Bill Roecker
"Today was a wet, overcast, and cold day of fishing," said the Royal Polaris posting August 26. "But that didn't stop the Bluefin from putting a bend in our passengers rods. We had a good day of Bluefin fishing. We were close to our daily limit, but fell short a few fish. We did manage a handful of Dorado, and one Yellowtail. But the Bluefin were on the bite. Most of the fish were in the 25 to 40-pound range, with a few going over 50 pounds."
"By 17:00 hours, most of our passengers were down for the count. At one point we only had 8 to 10 people fishing. Today was a good day. We will give this another try tomorrow, and hope that the rain will go away. But if that makes the fish bite, let it rain, just let it rain."
