FISHING REPORT
Water temperature at the launch ramps is at about 77 degrees. These summer temperatures have trout hanging out 45 to 50 feet deep out by the dam and any anglers looking to catch trout are having the best luck bringing them in by trolling with down riggers. The slight change in weather has more people reeling in Bass and we are seeing all different varieties come in - large mouth, small mouth, and spotted.
Catfish are still the fish that the majority of fishermen are catching and they seem to be biting all sorts of bait: night-crawlers, power-baits, and anything smelly like anchovies or chicken liver. Pictured on the right is Micah Werson of Folsom, CA and the 5.16 lb. catfish he brought in this past Saturday. Even with an injured right arm Micah managed to reel in this nice sized cat off the main lake!
WE NOW RENT PADDLE BOARDS
What's SUP?
Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP Boarding) is a relatively new paddling sport in which the paddler stands on top of the board and propels him or herself across the water by the use of a long, single-bladed paddle. Stand-up Paddleboarding has, in less than 10 years, spread from surf beaches to nearly every other type of watercourse... and now we are bringing the sport to Lake Camanche for you to try!
We Have Paddleboards Ready for YOU on both shores! Because we want all of our guests to be able to try this fun sport we have two paddleboards for rent at both our North and South Shore locations. Your rental includes an 11' Paddleboard with leash, adjustable paddle, and a lifejacket. Our friendly marina staff will give you instruction on how to use your board and send you on your way to one of the best days you've had in a while! Call the number listed below for availability.
Rental prices are as follows:
$20/Hour
$80/Day
($300 refundable deposit for all boards is required)
