Justine Fleck checked in from the Excel with this report. "We started the day at the islands and things were look'n good. We started hooking Yellowtail about 3:30 in the morning. We kept it going up until daylight. At daylight there was a little flurry and then it kind of deteriorated. It was tough to get back on that fish.
"We decided to move around, check some other spots. It didn't really work out. The conditions still look good, the fish'n is still around. It was just off the bite for us this morning. We decided to bail out of that zone and we are headed to Alijos Rocks for tomorrow. The weather is still a little choppy but it has come down a notch. Maybe 15, 16 knots right now. We are hoping that's the trend. We'll check in again tomorrow."
