Fish Report for 7-30-2013
The Smallmouth bite has taken off at Del Valle Lake, the Striper bite is also very good

Del Valle Marina
Marina Hours: 6:00 am to 8:00 pm
Park Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Water Temperature: 79 Degrees, 20' down it drops to about 63 degrees. These are the same temperature levels as we had last week.
Water Level: There was no report of the water level for Del Valle Lake this week.
Water Clarity: The water clarity is aboout 20' in most places right now.
Fish Report:
Current water temperatures are perfect for Smallmouth and the smallmouth bite has picked up as a result. They are hitting on shad colored small jerkbaits, and Rat-L-Traps that are blue, silver & black. The Largemouth bite has slowed this week. While they were being caught in the morning on Senkos and small Jerkbaits with roboworm trailers. Stripers are biting Anchovies and Sardines cut in 1 inch cubes. The catfish bite is on fire right now. They are hitting anchovies, chicken liver, mackerel or just about anything that smells. This week's hot spots for Stripers & Catfish are the Dam, Heron Bay and the upper Narrows.

Danny Hollis brought in 2 Striperswith the largest weighing 3.11 lbs. Austin Hawkenson from Livermore caught a 2 lb. Striper from Heron Bay using Anchovies.
