The Bass are biting on Senkos, top water lures, crankbaits and jigs. Trout are not biting like they were. But they can be found and caught around 40' to 50' deep on PowerBait and nightcrawlers. Catfish are on fire eating anything that stinks. You can choose from Anchovies, Chicken Liver, Mackerel, Sardines, Shrimp and stinky bait. The Crappie bite has slowed. We are not sure why and we don't know where they have moved. Smallmouth Bass are starting to bite small artificial lures including drop shoting roboworms, and smaller jigs. Some of the bigger Black Bass are starting to hit frogs, and frog like lures. The Stripers have been biting on crank baits and swimbait that have rainbow colors. Several Stripers have been caught in the 15 lb. + size by the locals but they don't want it known.

On 7/10/2012 750 lbs. of Mt. Lassen Trout were planted.

Pictured Above: Sarina Wixon of Castro Valley brought in a stringer of 5 Trout weighing in at 7.2 lbs. from the narrows using PowerBait.
