Royal Polaris Fish Report 07-21-07

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone, weather today was wonderful. We had overcast skies, with flat seas, and no wind. Our morning started out with a bang.

Our first stop of the morning was at 07:15, and boy did they bite. It was like someone had opened the flood gates. Most of the Albacore were in the 18 to 25 pound category, but a few would go over 30. Once the smoke had cleared, we would put 32 longfins in the hole. Things started to look very good, with lots of life around us.
B As the day went on, so did our fishing. The bite would slow down by lunch, so Billy made the decision to make a move to the south and try our luck at Bluefin and Yellowfin. We would find a good spot of Bluefin, but that's all they gave us, the fin. It was a nice spot of 30 to 40 pound fish. The would jump around the boat, but they were all show and no go.

In the late afternoon, we would fish under kelps, but we would only land a few Yellowtail, the tuna just wouldn't get busy for us. So tomorrow brings us another day. We would end up with 50 Albacore, and a few Yellowtail. So wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
