Today was our first day of fishing on this years Stout/Eppler 3-day trip. The weather has come up quite a bit and the bluefin fishing came to a sceeching halt. We did see one gigantic school of 50-70 pounders but they just didn't act right. We managed to pick off ten good ones. It breezed up a little more in the afternoon so we passed the time working down swell where we picked up limits of smaller grade yellows on kelps. Even though we would've like to drift on bluefin all day in grease calm weather, these are the cards that we were dealt and we will play the hand as best that we can. Everyone had a great time pulling on fish today and their smiling faces are what counts. We will do it all again tomorrow, wish us luck.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619)223-7493 to get in on the action.
