Stripers and Bass were the main attraction at Diamond Valley Lake this week

Fish Plants: No more this season
Lake Hours: 5:30am - 6:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the mid 60's to high 90's this week. Drink plenty of water and watch out for snakes!

BASS
Anglers are catching their limits on bass between 3-5 pounds. Some anglers are catching bass trolling with flies, yet the senko bite is still on with greens, browns and pumpkin colors. Plastics also work great in the purples, browns, pinks, and greens. Debby and Peyton McNeely, Photo #1 of Murrieta caught a 4.41 pound bass on a purple and brown plastic worm.

STRIPER
Can't stop, won't stop the striper bite! Anglers are catching stripers between 5-20 pounds! Trolling with flies, and using lures that replicate shad and baby bass work best for striper. Kenny Baldwin, pictured above of Redlands caught a 19.96 pound striper this past week using a homemade fly!

CATFISH
There was a few reports of catfish this past week ranging between 5-15 pounds. Anglers are using mackerel, flies and stink baits.

TROUT
No reports of trout caught this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.

PANFISH
Anglers are catching their limits on panfish between 1-2 pounds! Night crawlers and mealworms are the go-to bait for panfish. Robert Powers, Photo #2 of San Jacinto caught a 1.48 lb and a 1.56 lb redear using night crawlers.
