Bass, Stripers & Catfish are all on the bite at Diamond Valley Lake

Surface Water Temp: 77 degrees

Fish Plants: No more this season
Lake Hours: 5:30am - 6:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the low 60's to low 100's this week. Drink plenty of water and watch out for snakes!

BASS
Anglers are continuing to catch largemouth averaging between 1-3 pounds! Finesse worms in pink and purple colors are anglers choice along with senko's in green with brown color to them. Aaron Cha, pictured above from Temecula caught a 5.23lber using a purple/brown roboworm.

STRIPER
The striper bite is still on! There were a few 8-12 pound stripers caught. Spoons, flies and lures that replicate baby bass are working best for striper. Mike Southerland of Hemet caught another striper this week weighing in at 11.29lbs using Mike's fly.

CATFISH
Anglers are catching catfish near the dams using nightcrawlers, cut mackerel, shrimp, and flies. Curtis Hester, Photo #1 from Hemet caught a 10lb and 15.5lb catfish by the I/O tower.

TROUT
No reports of trout caught this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.

PANFISH
Anglers have been catching their limits of blue gills this week! The hot spots have been around the ladders along the east and west dam as well as the south west corner. Nightcrawlers and meal worms work best for panfish.
