The fishing remains very good for the Puerto Morelos Caribbean Riviera Port at the Marina El Cid and even with a couple of off-rainy days, the bite stayed good. 25% of the boats caught billfish and the bonito count pushed them up to the fish of the week. The overall counts for a total of 40 day fished reflected 3 blue marlin, (all under 250 lbs.) 2 white marlin, 5 sailfish, 20 dordo, 59 bonito, 11 giant barracudas, 8 wahoo, 1 Spanish mackerel, 3 grouper and 1 Golden Grouper.

PM Climate: Partly cloudy days with intermittent periods of sunshine and temps that ranged from 77 nights to 90 for the daytime highs and a little on the humid side.

Sea Conditions: Good sea conditions through the past week with water temps that were stable at the 85 degree mark throughout the area and very good clarity for the offshore waters. Surface breezes were rolling in from the easterly directions and remained at 5-10 mph ranges and provided mostly calm water fishing conditions.

Best Bait: The bait of choice continue to be the ballyhoo that are provided fresh caught on a daily basis.
