Great fishing for Kokanee and rainbow trout at Lake McClure
6-24-2013
Bruce Hamby
Both trout and Koks are holding in the main lake between A frame and the dam off rocky points. Target depth is 50 feet, give or take 10 feet. Uncle Larry's Pro series trout spinners with a night crawler behind ball flashers is producing 16 to 18 inch bows. The 14 to 15 1/2 inch Kokanee are falling for Uncle Larry's spinners, glitter bug hoochies and Vance's hoochies behind copper dodgers. Best corn scent is Pro Cure bloody tuna and a dash of krill. Lake temperatures 78 degrees. Expect moderate low water depths.
