The trout bite at Lafayette Reservoir has been steady
6-6-2013
Lafayette Reservoir Staff
The trout bite has been steady at the reservoir this past week. Many anglers are seeing 2 to 3 trout per rod. The trout are biting on Power Baits, Worms and Kastmaster (silver) off the banks and off the boats since the water has been clearing up from the winter rains. But be aware because we have two otters that have been stealing fish off the lines and ones off your stringers. Bass are being seen all over the reservoir but you have to work for them to get them to bite. We are keeping track the current water temperature and soon could be planting cat fish soon.
Water temp as follows: 2'-73.4* / 4'- 71* / 6'-70*
Limit of the weekend goes to David Fletcher of Pleasant Hill that included one Lighting Trout. (Pictured above)

On Monday May 20th a local fisherman, Peter Wai, was also fishing off a boat from the...... Read More
