Log 'Cuda on Aloha Spirit SFR Charter

The SFR gang teamed up with Captain Shawn Steward and the crew aboard the Aloha Spirit out of Captain Hook's Sportfishing for a recent Island freelance charter. A great mix of regulars and newcomers boarded the Spirit at 6 am and we were off for the Islands to see what we could hook up. Captain Steward took us straight to the frontside of Santa Cruz and straight into the action for wide open barracuda. We hammered log 'cuda for about two hours straight. Bait, surface irons, plastics, whatever you threw out was getting bit. Nice, quality 5-10 lb fish. After we loaded up the sacks with slimers, we headed to the other side of the island in search of bass, WSB , yellows or whatever else were could dig up. We never really could get anything going in the kelp beds or inner reefs and even had a tough time on some of the deeper water structure as well. We ended the day with some nice sculpin and nice rockfish. Thanks again to Captain Steward and his awesome crew aboard the Aloha Spirit for all their hard work. Special thanks to Captain Steward who kindly donated two full day passes aboard the Aloha Spirit for the SFR raffle. Nice way to end the trip for two lucky anglers. Awesome Captain !! Thanks Again.
