It was another outstanding fishing week from Puerto Morelos that reflected a tremendous up-tick in the jack crevalle counts and bonito counts close to the Marina and provided very good action for the folks that fished the short days. The sportfishing cruisers reported in for a total of 32 days fished that reflected an 11 fish variety catch that included 2 sailfish, 13 dorado, 8 blackfin tuna, 4 king mackerel, 5 Atlantic barracuda, 2 amberjack, 5 Spanish mackerel, 108 jack crevalle, 160 bonito, 4 triggerfish and 7 red snappers. The overall fish count numbers averaged at about 10 fish per boat day.

PM Climate: Partly cloudy but warm days and nights with temps that ranged from 75-88 degrees.

Sea Conditions: Some afternoon breezy conditions allowed for some P.M. wind chop with the flow coming in mostly from the easterly directions at 10-25 mph. Sea temps remained favorable at 80-81 degrees with good clarity in the offshore waters.

Best Bait/Lure: The bait of choice for the entire area remains the always available ballyhoo baits that are caught fresh on a daily basis and provided to the entire fishing fleet.
